Whad-ya-mean Larry, "if you're not working." I thought you done retired!
Hi Dan...yes retired from the main. The CPA firm that I worked for after college contacted me to see if I could help out "some" in tax season. Im gonna give it a whirl. With my experience I can obtain IRS Enrolled Agent(EA) certification without taking the EA Exam. I think it will be more fun than work at this stage plus a few more shillings for more toys is always welcome!! Heck at 63 my mind still ain't half bad!
I will let you know if im going to the show. The Mrs has quite a few relatives in the Sunbury/New Cumberland area that we could also visit like we did after last years show.
I finally made the show again this year. Took a couple of young, strong guys who helped set the loft satirs Froday (< that's a typo so funny i'll just correct it over here>) stairs Friday evening. They have both been eager helpers when I need them most, and have somehow...developed keen interests in hunting and building bows and longrifles. Best news, they both 'came out of the box' with ethics and sportsmanship values worthy of admiration
Warned them not to dilly-dally too long in any one spot...lest their brains get tired afore they got through the 'show' at least once. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Me, My brain hurt before I made it halfway the first room. Show is simply awesome.
It was a great show. Friday was a record attendence. Dont know about Saturday but im sure it was close. I was there with Chris Laubach and had some horns and things on his table. The level of craftsmanship and artistry at this show is awsome. I have been there all 8 years and it just keeps getting better. My sales covered my spending so thats a good thing. There were a few things i couldnt live without. Art DeCamps book on screw tip horns, A Bobby Hoyt .40 cal barrel and had to dig through the horn pile for some new horn projects.
Wentzler, Wish i would have gotten to talk to you. Next year stop by and say hey. I'll be with Chris again back in the small room off of the main hall.
Any luckatol, Longhunter, next year I may just go for both days, duration I saw so many people I haven't seen in years, from four or five different states, and others, same been missin' 'em kinda friends..from all over this state. A rich experience. What more kin one say??
