All caught bluegill BUT....the oldest one hooked on a 9" bass. His first "real" fish. It was a great morning!
I get what you're saying. That's cool. But... a fileted, breaded, pan fried bluegill, is better than any freshwater Bass.. save for a Crappie.
I made it clear up front that this was a "catch 'n release" trip. They really enjoyed it. My one grandson got his first "dorsal fin stab" from releasing a bluegill. You can warn and warn and warn.......but when you get "stuck" you suddenly become real careful how to handle 'em!!!
